Where will I be located?

The majority of our graduate positions are based in London although opportunities do arise in our regional offices. You need to let us know in your application if you’d prefer a non-London location. You'll be based at your main office during most of your training period, although you will also be travelling around the country to see clients and their properties.

When will I start work?

If Gerald Eve works out as the place for you, you should plan any summer work or holidays around joining us at the end of September 2012.

Are any work placements available?

Different offices and departments offer holiday work and industrial placements from time to time. We suggest you send us your CV and covering letter, indicating what you’re looking for, when, where and for how long, and we will see what is available and try and match you to it.

Do I have to have a property-related degree to join as a graduate trainee?

As we need graduates to 'hit the ground running' in our busy offices, we look for candidates who hold a degree or masters in a subject which is accredited by the RICS or RTPI. Therefore we regret that we are unable to review applications from those who do not hold a property-related degree. If your ultimate aim is to qualify as a chartered surveyor or planner, we recommend that you take a relevant post-graduate course, which will enable you to qualify MRICS/MRTPI in a shorter time period. How long does the application process take?

We'll acknowledge your application within seven days of receiving it. We'll then review it in detail and let you know after the closing date whether you have been successful in getting to the interview stage. Most interviews will be held during January/February.
